ANGELICA

How interesting it was to read Angelica's struggles and accomplishments. She traveled a long road and no one gave up on her.
I think this book will be a great tool for others dealing with Bipolar Disorder.

I could not put this book down once I started reading it!!! It is engrossing and brutally honest. It takes the discussion of Bipolar disorder out of the shadows and into the practical life of an average person. I found myself cheering for Angelica's recovery and impressed with all that she did to regain it. Angelica made her recovery from her illness a passion, and she worked diligently towards it.
She is my HERO!!

How amazing for one to reveal oneself to the world and tell your story to all. I find it very brave and telling her life to help others made this young lady gain the strength she has now to live a full and happy life. Through helping others as Angelica has done, she has become independent, healthy and thrives throughout her days as a lovely confident woman.

From a nursing educator's perspective, I found the book a very useful tool in presenting the topic of bipolar disorder. The writing was an honest, first-hand account of the day to day living and functioning in the world with a mental illness. Although some of her life experiences were difficult to read, I could not put the book down as I was cheering her on to persevere.

As a psychiatrist for over 20 years, I have often gathered a patient history and have had to piece together the pathway that leads to the individual's symptom complex. This book is an honest portrayal of one person's struggle with the symptoms of mental illness and her path toward governing them rather than them governing her.

Heartwrenching life story of a women living with Bipolar disorder. After reading this book you will realize that mental illness does only affect the individual who lives with it but, the entire family and friends.

Angelica shares an insightful and compassionate account of her life with bipolar disorder. She exposes the challenges of living a positive life while coping with trauma, relationships, medical complications and religious beliefs. After reading her story, I feel a profound sense of compassion for anyone living with mental illness.

Thoroughly enjoyed reading Stairway to Madness. I can now understand the complex nature of this illness as told by the writer through her story. Readers will appreciate her honesty about this illness and how it can affect every aspect of one's life. A "must read" for anyone who is affected by this disorder either personally or those who just want to understand what it's all about.

Angelica's book was very helpful to me in understanding mental illness. I was able to improve my relationship with family members. Her story, though very personal can be applied to understanding the challenge of bipolar disorder in the broader sense. Very brave undertaking by Angelica, who covers heart breaking to celebration in very understandable human terms. Thank you Angelica!
